Goldman Sachs Group Inc Monopoly.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc once more SPECULATING and forcing the crude price to levels they want, this Group is one of the forefront players as to why we have these absurd inflate prices... Prices jumped to the $125 level after another Goldman report less than two weeks ago, today they have done the same...Crude oil rose above $127 a barrel for the first time, leading other commodities higher, after Goldman Sachs Group Inc. raised its forecast on speculation Chinese diesel purchases will strain supplies.

Goldman SPECULATED its price outlook for the second half of this year to $141 a barrel, from $107, citing supply constraints.
Crude oil for June delivery rose to $127.25 a barrel at 9:20 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract surged to $127.82 today, the highest since trading began in 1983. Prices have doubled in the past year.

Brent crude oil for July settlement rose to $125.89 a barrel on London's ICE Futures Europe exchange. The contract touched a record $126.34 today.
PetroChina International Co., the trading unit of PetroChina Co., the country's biggest oil producer, has already purchased 400,000 tons, or 2.9 million barrels, of diesel for June. That's in addition to the 200,000 tons that China International United Petroleum & Chemicals Corp., the nation's largest trader, bought for the month.

Saudi Arabia has agreed to increase production in 300.000 a day to help lower prices , White House spokeswoman Dana Perino told reporters traveling on Air Force One.

WorldWatch

Oil prices reach new record in one of Europe’s oldest economies PORTUGAL ...PORTUGAL has one of the worlds most expensive final consumer oil price, regular 95 Octane is now a staggering 1,479 euro per liter.... diesel prices rose to 1,369 euro per liter....
Oil consumption in January had a 2,4% drop, more than 300 filing stations have closed affecting in average 3000 workers!!!!
This 15th oil increase this year in PORTUGAL like most others is PURE SPECULATION, practiced by the government and petrol companies like Galp, BP.REPSOL and others to keep final consumer prices as high as possible...
Galp is the first to apply the new prices followed by the others with the same prices, their monopoly is to keep prices as high as possible, however this is forbiden by the ECC, therefore WorldWatch will make a formal complaint with the ECC alerting to this situation...
Portugal buys crude at discount prices from Venezuela, is involved in partnerships in Angola, Brazil (tupi and sugar field) among other partnerships but these company assets and profits are not passed to the consumer, the government has over 65% tax on every liter consumed the rest the petrol companies keep, BP profits in the first quarter reached 63%...unthinkable!!! Also the crude is paid in dollars and we see the value of the dollar, this is yet another reason not to have such an expensive oil price.... what will happen if the dollar goes to normal values.
This cannot continue, the high price of diesel and regular oil has helped drive up costs for goods and services throughout the economy.... Portugal has now reached the breaking point; its time for the population to react to protest against this abuse of power...

Iran report pushes oil to new record...

Oil prices near $127 a barrel on report about Iranian output; Oil prices shot to a new record near $127 a barrel Tuesday on concerns that Iran may consider cutting crude oil production.

Traders were reacting to news reports that Iran's government is considering cutting crude oil production. In later news reports, Iranian officials denied that production cuts were imminent, but said a reduction has been discussed.

Iran, OPEC's second-largest oil producer, more than doubled the amount stored in tankers idling in the Persian Gulf, as demand for some of its crude fell, this is a direct cause of the crude prices, if the prices don’t come to acceptable levels below $100 then the situation for producers and oil companies and in general will become worse.

Retail prices aren't going to decline as long as any part of the energy complex is heading higher.

In sending crude prices higher Tuesday, investors shrugged off the dollar, which strengthened against the euro Tuesday. A stronger dollar often prompts selling by investors who had bought commodities such as oil as a hedge against inflation. Also, a stronger dollar makes oil more expensive for investors.
Meanwhile, the International Energy Agency, an adviser to mostly western, industrialized nations, said high prices are cutting demand for oil and petroleum products in the U.S. and Europe. The IEA cut its global oil demand growth forecast for this year to 1.2 percent from 1.5 percent. In the U.S., the IEA said demand for oil may contract by as much as 2.1 percent this year, while demand for gasoline will drop by about 1 percent.

Energy investors are also concerned about China, which recently reported a drop in crude imports. Analysts were uncertain whether Monday's 7.9-magnitude earthquake in central China would have a significant impact on demand. The quake killed about 10,000 people and knocked power plants and other factories off-line. Strong demand from China and other fast-growing economies has underpinned oil's rise in recent years.
So all points to less world crude demand but SPECULATION will not allow the prices to reach normal values below $100, a recession in most crude exporters can now be expected, we have Venezuela as a example were food shortages are a daily routine...

'lange & sohne'

Back in 1994 when lange & sohne made its grand debut I was surprised with the breathtaking workmanship showed, there and then I promised myself I would purchase one of those quality watches...

For me the best of the original Lange collection was the legendary Tourbillon Pour le Mérite watch, with its chain transmission mechanism with tourbillon. A coveted collectors piece, and one of the most desirable A. Lange & Söhne watches, the “PLM”, as it is known among the cognoscenti, is the watch you most often see on the wrist of the ever-smiling Walter Lange, creator of the modern A. Lange & Söhne brand.

The German haute horlogerie continues now with the new A. Lange & Söhne Cabaret Tourbillon watch. One of the most beautiful tourbillon timepieces in current production, this new star of the Cabaret collection has a great sense of opulence, strongly tempered by sobriety and elegance. I love the visual balance of the displays; the dominant outsize date at 12, balanced by the lovely tourbillon carriage at 6, which is in turn balanced by the small seconds subdial and the power reserve to its left and right, respectively. The handwound L.961.1 movement is absolutely breathtaking!
While A. Lange & Söhne’s Lange 1 Tourbillon was impressive, and the Tourbograph is a staggering showpiece, I think that this new Cabaret is the most beautiful of the A. Lange tourbillons, standing right up there with the magnificent Pour le Mérite watch of 1994.

Crude Record Near $125 a Barrel

One of the nations that have more fat people in the world are the United States , however there is a way to reduce this...WorldWatch suggests that the US change the summer driving season to a summer cycling season !!! this way they will remain healthy and save on fuel consumption .
The US gasoline price per gallon will no doubt become more expensive as crude oil rose to a record for a fifth day, set for the biggest weekly gain since March last year, on speculation Nigerian export cuts may curb U.S. supplies during the peak summer season.
Attacks by militants on Royal Dutch Shell Plc's Nigerian operations have disrupted output from Africa's biggest oil producer, while U.S. distillate-fuel stockpiles and refinery output have declined from last year.On the other hand we have a group of nations (OPEC) manipulating and speculating to keep crude prices well above the $120 mark, OPEC said yesterday it doesn't need to increase supplies, even as its president warned prices may reach $200 a barrel... So OPEC has publicly announced that they favor SPECULATION as means to obtain ever-growing profits and control world demand, this was not the role of OPEC, they have now emtered a new phase that in time will be their total destruction..
The OPEC President Chakib Khelil doesn’t seem to be very intelligent, anyone can see that demand is not sufficient and still the cartel group keeps denying the obvious.
Crude oil for June delivery climbed to $124.92 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract was at $124.67 at 10:14 a.m. London time. Oil has risen 7.2 percent this week, the biggest weekly gain since March 23, 2007. Prices have doubled in the last year.
Brent crude oil for June settlement jumped to a record $124.25 a barrel on London's ICE Futures Europe exchange. It was at $123.89 at 10:15 a.m. London time.
